General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1)(e) – processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.
Personal data is supplied to Democratic Services via the licensing department for licence applications.
This includes applicants’ and designated premises supervisor’s name, address and contact details. However, this is redacted by the Licensing team.
The information provided is used to facilitate the application or is referenced at a review hearing decided by councillors, if relevant.
The information is held by the clerk to the Sub-Committee and Democratic Services colleagues to determine the application.
The information is shared with the Licensing department, councillors who will sit on the sub-committee, the clerk and legal adviser. Agenda paperwork is held on the council’s committee management system, externally hosted by Modern.Gov. In addition, personal data collected for personal licenses for the supply of alcohol may be shared with central government as part of the National Fraud Initiative.
Participants in a virtual/in-person meeting will be either filmed or audio recorded dependent on how they choose to access the meeting. The recording is stored on the council’s YouTube webpage.
The video recording of the meeting will be stored on the council’s YouTube page for a period of two years.
