We rely on the provisions in The Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014. 

How we collect information

Personal data is collected from you by paper enquiry forms, electronic forms, by telephone when contacting the council. 
Information we collect Section 22 of The Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 includes the provisions;

  • A local auditor has a right of access at any reasonable time to every document - the auditor thinks is necessary for the purpose of the auditor’s functions under this Act.
  • A relevant authority - must provide a local auditor with the facilities and information that the auditor reasonably requires for the purposes of the auditor’s functions under this Act.

How we use the information provided

The information is used to conduct the audit process.

Members of the audit team assigned to the Council at Deloitte.

Who we may share your information with

We will share this information with our external auditors, Deloitte.

How long we store your information

Information will be retained for eight years.
