Personal data is collected from you through the online application form. We can also collect nomination and supporting documentation that is sent in by post.
The type of information collected is: name of organisation, name(s), your position in the organisation, address, telephone number and email address, type of organisation, organisation registration number, whether wholly or partly concerned, name of asset being nominated, address of asset, name and address of current owners/lawful occupiers/holder/s of freehold estate/holder/s of any leasehold estate, information which helps to clarify the exact location and extent of the asset being nominated, supporting information on the asset being nominated.
The information is used in the exercise of our functions relating to the nomination and listing of land and property assets of community value.
Information is shared with the legal department and officers from any other department which may, out of necessity, be involved in the exercise of the statutory function.
The legislation requires the Council to maintain a list of nominations and details of the owner and the nominating group will be included on the list which will be published on the Council’s website.
Where necessary and in accordance with the prevailing legislation, we will share the name and contact details of parties connected to the nomination and the asset owner and their respective legal advisors, for example but not limited to the following circumstances:
We may share the information you provide with other bodies that are responsible for auditing our systems and may supply information to government agencies, law enforcement agencies, internal audit, regulators or other external bodies for such purposes.
Your nomination and supporting documentation will be retained, whether successful or not for six years
Does your service utilise automated decision making? – No.
