Article 6(1)(e) processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.

Provision for us to process this data is provided for in the:

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

How we collect information

The personal information we process is provided by you when you complete the application form. If you speak to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Customer Service Centre, then information may also be collected when you speak to our customer service representative.

Type of information collected

We currently collect and process the following information to allow for the road closure and facilitate the event taking place. 

This includes: your name, address, contact details including email address and telephone number.

We will also collect details about where and when the party is due to take place and record if you have public liability insurance.

We will collect your company details if applicable and any other additional details you provide which are required to process the application.

How we use the information provided

The information is collected to process application for street parties and respond to your requests for information. It will also be used to inform the emergency services.

We will provide the date, time and location of the closure along with the organisers name and phone number to One.Network to advise residents who has requested the road closure and facilitate access. This information will be publicly available.

Who has access to the information about you

Members of the Neighbourhood Service section have access to this information.  Your name and contact details will also be publicly available on ‘One. Network’ for the duration of the event.

Who we may share your information with

To facilitate the road closure, we must provide your information, including name and telephone number to the following:

  • Royal Borough Fire and Rescue Service
  • Thames Valley Police

We may also advise the below:

Other Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead teams including

  • Waste and Recycling 
  • Conservation team 
  • Transport team. 
  • Town Centre Managers
  • Bus operators
  • Ward Councillors relevant to your application

How long we store your information

Data will not be kept longer than is necessary. Application details are securely disposed after the date of the event past.
