Approved Stakeholder Masterplan Documents (SMDs)

The stakeholder master planning process formalises good practice in relation to pre-application discussions with the council, stakeholders, and the local community, by requiring developers of larger sites to engage at an early stage in the development process.

Land West of Cannondown Road

This is a site allocation in the adopted Borough Local Plan (AL37) for:

  • approximately 200 residential units,
  • a network of pedestrian and cycle routes throughout the site,
  • a strong high quality network of green and blue infrastructure and,
  • 40% affordable housing

The site is 8.78ha. 

On Thursday 30 March 2023, Cabinet unanimously approved the Land West of Cannondown Road Stakeholder Masterplan Document (SMD) as an important material consideration for Development Management purposes.
