Lawful basis for processing the information
General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1)(e) – processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.
Our additional legal basis for using your special category information is:
Processing is necessary for the purposes of preventive or occupational medicine, for the assessment of the working capacity of the employee, medical diagnosis, the provision of health or social care or treatment or the management of health or social care systems and services on the basis of domestic law or pursuant to contract with a health professional and subject to the conditions and safeguards.
How we collect information
Personal data is collected from you through either a digital form, website submissions, telephone or through referral from your GP or other Health Professional. This service is undertaken by our Partner Organisation, Everyone Health, who will share the information with RBWM Public Health. The data shared with RBWM will be provided in a grouped, anonymous format.
What information is collected
The type of information collected includes, first name, surname, address including postcode, telephone number(s), date of birth, age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disabilities and learning disabilities, severe mental illness (SMI), co-morbidities, pregnancy status, housing tenure, marital status.
How we use the information provided
RBWM and our Partner Organisation, Everyone Health, will use your data to provide you with the Weight Management service that you have asked for or that you have been referred for.

Your information is stored for eight years from the last time you accessed the clinical services.
