How long will I be a councillor for?
If elected, you will be a Member of the council until you choose to retire or lose an election. This means you will serve a four-year term in between elections.
How to become a councillor
Full Borough Council elections are held in all wards every four years, usually the first Thursday in May. The next scheduled Borough and parish council elections are Thursday 6 May 2027.
