Electoral registration

If you are unable to register online then please call the Electoral Services Helpline on 01628 683868.

Individual electoral registration was introduced in June 2014. There is now an online application form which can be completed by going to www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. You should have your National Insurance number with you as this will need to be supplied as part of your application.

If you are unable to register online then please call the Electoral Services Helpline on 01628 683868 and ask for a form to be posted to you or you can supply the required personal information over the phone to the Elections office staff who will complete the online registration for you.

If you do not want to give the personal information of date of birth and National Insurance number over the phone then you will need to give your full name and address for a pre-printed form to be sent out, or you should visit the website as shown above.

Electoral Commission (EC) cyber-attack

This was unwelcome news to the Electoral Registration Officer, but if you want further information then both the EC’s media statement and FAQ document will explain the situation. Members of the public can also contact the EC directly by using this webform  and selecting the title ‘Cyber-attack’ to get in touch.
