Whether part of the Armed Forces Community or not, residents are already supportive to each other through charity work, taking part in Armed Forces Day and by being good neighbours.

There is great desire to seek ways in which the Armed Forces Community and wider community can be more mutually supportive and work together.

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is currently offering grants of up to £30,000 for projects which fit within one of the following two categories.

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust has launched a £3 million funding programme to fund renovations and improvements to veterans' community centres.
