Where you wish to determine the extent of a highway maintained at public expense:

Standard enquiry

A standard enquiry is a request for a copy (emailed on A4 PDF) of a Highway Extents and Public Rights of Way plan of a small geographic area within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, together with a statement confirming the status of a given highway.  

The charge for a standard enquiry is £98.00.

Extended enquiry

An extended enquiry is a request for a copy (emailed on A3 PDF) of a Highway Extents and Public Rights of Way plan of a large geographic area within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, together with a statement confirming the status of a given highway or highways and/or responses to a number of supplementary questions.  

The charge for an Extended Enquiry is £273.00.

Currently there is a 10 working day turnaround on both types of enquiry.

Expedited enquiries 

Expedited fees for Standard Enquiry is £140, and £413 for Extended Enquiry. Turnover for expedited enquiry is one to three working days. (This additional service is not always available. If this is the case standard fees will apply).

Both enquiries are separate and distinct from a CON29 Land Charges search which can be obtained from land.charges@rbwm.gov.uk.
