Each school has a Governing Body, made up of people like you, making important decisions about how the school is run, to help provide the best possible education for pupils.
Support for governors
The Governors' Services Section is part of the Education Department at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
Purpose
The Governor Support Service aims to promote and develop effective governance of the highest quality in Windsor and Maidenhead schools in order to provide an educational framework within which all pupils have an equal opportunity to achieve their very best.
Training
An annual programme of central core training for school governors with course details is organised as well as briefings for chairs of governors and clerks. Full training programme.
Targeted support and bespoke training for individual and clusters of governing bodies/schools is available in consultation with Governors' Services.
