Receiving your investigation request
When we have received your investigation request we decide what priority we should give to the complaint:
- An urgent investigation request can involve work to protected trees, work to listed buildings, demolition of buildings and walls in conservation areas and other work that could have a lasting and harmful effect on the environment. For these cases an enforcement officer will normally visit the site on the same day.
- For other investigation requests an enforcement officer will normally visit the site within seven working days.
Once an enforcement officer has researched any background to the case and visited the site a decision will be made as to what further action (if any) needs to be taken.
