Traveller local plan: Overview

The council is preparing a single issue Traveller Local Plan that will sit alongside the Borough Local Plan, which includes a policy (HO4) to guide both the allocation of sites in the Traveller Local plan and also any planning applications that come forward on unallocated sites.  The Traveller Local Plan will set pitch, plot targets and allocate the necessary sites for Gypsies, Travellers and Travelling Showpeople to meet the identified needs in the borough over the plan period to 2033.
