The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, a charging authority under the Planning Act 2008, has issued, approved, and published this schedule in line with CIL Regulations 2010.
2. Date of Approval
Approved by the Council on Wednesday 10 August 2016.
3. Date of Effect
Comes into effect on Thursday 1 September 2016.
4. Calculation of Chargeable Amount
4.1 CIL is calculated based on gross internal floorspace in new development, following CIL Regulations and updated annually for inflation by BCIS.
4.2 Exemptions include developments under 100 sqm, specific building types, and charitable institutions. Additional exemptions apply to self-build housing, residential annexes/extensions over 100 sqm, and affordable housing.

6. Payment by Instalments
The Royal Borough allows CIL payment by instalments in accordance with CIL Regulations. Further details are available on the Council’s website.
7. Monitoring CIL – IFS Annual Statement
7.1 The CIL Charging Schedule undergoes periodic reviews considering changes in development viability in the Royal Borough.
7.2 An annual statement, detailing funds received and disbursed, is published by December 31 on the council’s website.
Instalments policy
In adherence to Regulation 69B of the CIL Regulations 2010 (as amended), the Council enables the instalment-based payment of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). To aid developers in financing Borough projects,
