Library service ‘building’ on LEGO club success following LEGOLAND donation

Free LEGO clubs for children at Royal Borough libraries have expanded, thanks to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort donating a large amount of LEGO bricks.

The LEGO club at Dedworth Library saw huge bags of bricks gifted late last month, and the donation has meant that more volunteer-led groups have been set up in the borough.

This will mean more free clubs will be able to run in the libraries at Ascot, Cox Green and Windsor, as well as the Dedworth club continuing to run. You can find out more on the library clubs webpage

Councillor Jack Douglas, Cabinet Member for Communities and Leisure, said: “I’d like to thank LEGOLAND for this generous donation. Our library service and volunteers can now help more children learn and have fun with LEGO for free. Free local clubs in the community are a very popular way to help make sure our children have a good start in life.”

Ramesh Ganeson, Vice President, LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, said: “Investment in children’s learning is an integral part of our activities at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort. I am delighted our organisation is continuing to fund library volunteering sessions as well as donate LEGO for families and children to play with across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. I look forward to welcoming members of our local community to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort throughout the 2025 season.”
