Councillor Simon Werner, the Council Leader and Cabinet Member for community partnerships, public protection and Maidenhead, said: “We’re keen to provide our residents with clear, professional and easily accessible financial advice and this partnership with Rebel Business School, providing free support at workshops with a different theme, is a fantastic way to offer this.
“These remain challenging times for all residents, and we want to ensure that everyone throughout the borough has the financial resilience to cope. I would encourage anyone who is worried about their finances or interested in getting more information and advice on areas such as budgeting and their pension, to sign up and take advantage of this opportunity.”
Alan Donegan, Co-Founder of the Rebel Business School, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with the Royal Borough to empower residents with the financial knowledge they need to thrive. Our workshops are designed to demystify money management and provide practical strategies for smart spending, saving, and investing. You probably didn’t get taught this stuff at school, so we need to plug that gap and help you now.
“At Rebel Business School, we believe that financial literacy is a key component of personal freedom. Through these workshops, we aim to equip individuals with the tools they need to take control of their finances and design a future they can look forward to. These workshops are more than just financial advice; they’re about instilling confidence, fostering resilience in challenging times and being able to enjoy finances. It is amazing seeing forward thinking councils like the Royal Borough partnering to create innovative content to improve residents’ chances in life.”
