Local and family history resources, maps, electoral registers and much more.
Parish Registers are records of baptisms, marriages and burials made by the Church. They are a valuable resource for researching your family tree because the census and official records of birth, marriage and death began in 1837.
There are transcripts of registers for all Maidenhead parishes except Waltham St. Lawrence, and transcripts of registers for a number of other parishes in former Berkshire, not including Windsor. Known as the "Brooks collection", it covers the period from the 1500s to 1837 (and in some cases well into the C20th). The Royal Berkshire Archives holds other and more recent registers.
Transcripts for New Windsor (St. John the Baptist) only:
Windsor area registers after 1837 are held at The Royal Berkshire Archives.
