Parish councillor vacancies

Parish councils are made up of locally elected councillors. A councillor will be elected for a term of up to four years.

They are legally obliged to hold at least one meeting a year but many Parish councils meet every six weeks to discuss council business and to hear from local residents.

If you are interested in becoming a parish councillor then please see the vacancy list below and contact the parish clerk directly.  This list has been updated following the close of nominations for Thursday 4 May 2023 elections and the parishes should be looking to fulfil these vacancies by co-option at their first meeting in May.

Further details about the date and timetable for any future elections will be posted on the parish and borough websites when they are set.
