I am making a request under the Freedom of Information Act.
1) Please provide information on the number of households “required to leave accommodation provided by the Home Office as asylum support” (as it is defined and described by the government in the statutory homelessness statistics https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/statutory-homelessness-in-engla... ) who:
a. Were assessed as homeless (ie owed relief duty under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017)
b. A breakdown of the outcomes of these requests for assistance
I appreciate for more recent months you may not have data on the outcomes - this is fine, and I am happy to receive just data on the requests/numbers who were assessed as homeless for these months.
Please provide data, broken down by month, for August 2022-October 2023 inclusive. If there are more recent months where you do not have data for the whole month, but do have weekly (or month-to-date) data, please provide these.
Also, if you have the statistics for October by the time you compile the response for this request, I’d be incredibly grateful if those were included.
