Garden in Bloom awards 2024

The Garden in Bloom awards scheme started in 1992 to acknowledge the important contribution private gardens can make to the appearance of neighbourhoods.

It is the council’s way of saying thank you to residents for the work they do in their gardens which helps brighten up their neighbourhoods.

This year’s competition is no different and any garden (within the Royal Borough) visible to passers-by from the footpath or road is eligible for entry. A photo of the garden is welcome.  Please also see our privacy notice for more information about who we are, and what we do with the information supplied etc.

The closing date for receipt of nominations was 9am on Wednesday 31 July 2024.

You can nominate your own or someone else’s garden by:

  • completing the online form,
  • by emailing gib@rbwm.gov.uk or
  • by posting details of your nomination to the Mayor’s Parlour at the address below.

Details of the road and town of winning gardens may be published in the press and on our webpage.

All entrants will receive a certificate and the winner and runner-up in each council ward will also receive a rosette. We are grateful to the Berkeley Group, Housing Solutions and Silva Homes for their contributions to this year's scheme.

We are delighted this year to be supporting the “Wilds” volunteer groups across the Royal Borough.  Their Wildlife Gardens Awards encourages everyone to put wildlife at the heart of their outdoor space and we believe that a beautiful garden and wildlife-friendly spaces go hand in (gardening) glove with each other.  As well as entering for the RBWM Garden in Bloom Awards Scheme please consider submitting a nomination too for the Wildlife Gardens Awards at www.wildlifegardensawards.org
