Nicholsons Quarter Regeneration Compulsory Purchase Order

The Nicholson Quarter Regeneration scheme is a mixed use regeneration scheme on the site of the Nicholson's Shopping Centre and the adjoining Nicholson's car park and Siena Court.

It comprises over 650 new homes, 60 retail and hospitality units at ground floor level, 29,000 sq. m of office space accommodation, a new multi-storey car park and storage for 850 bicycles.

The scheme was approved by the planning committee in March 2021.

The Council approved the use of Compulsory Purchase Order powers to assist in the land assembly process at Cabinet in late March 2021.

The Order was confirmed on Thursday 2 November 2023.
